Golden Apple

much to my surprise i graduated last night from the teacher TRAC program of my previous college. it was a surprise because prior to the event, i thought it was just a simple ceremony to congratulate us because to me it was really no big deal since we aren't that close, just yet, to getting our degree. however it was an enjoyable night. a few of my friends whom i invited came with me to celebrate a nice evening. my most favorite part of the night was receiving the Golden Apple. a big, heavy, golden-colored, paper weight apple was handed to us one by one as they called our names to come up on the stage. it's huge and pretty. i attended the event for the sole reason of receiving that apple. another plus side, a friend of mine in the program received a $2500 scholarship last night! unfortunately, i didn't. too bad.
