social networking sites are taking over my life. someone save me!!
what's the deal with these myspace, facebook, friendster, and blogging sites that are just so popular with the mass? once you're in, you're hooked. it takes up so much time. and i mean so much! for instance, instead of doing the more important things that i supposedly prioritized in my life, im here blogging, and at the same time cyber-stalking on facebook. i guess it's the need to connect with people and the eagerness to:
a. know what's going on with them
b. know what they're posting
c. know who they're messaging
d. find out if you know any of their friends
e. find out if they have a new video or posted new pictures
f. find your own friends
g. make new friends
h. etc.
i must admit, i am addicted. addicted to perfecting my profile--from the very broad layout of the page to the smallest details of my personal info tab.
despite of its many intricate facets, facebook is like the lord of social networking. what else is there to improve it in terms of covering every aspect of networking? i really can't think of anything in the moment. it's used to find friends, acquaintances, relatives, jobs, and it is most likely used to stalk an ex-partner and his or her new partner. interesting. there's so much more that i haven't explored in the facebook world--so much more that i don't know. it must have everything.
i, therefore, feel that i am abusing myself because, although i've only had facebook for two days, it has already ruined my sleeping schedule. i think it's not only after my sleeping habits, but after my eating habits, study habits, and real-time away-from-the-computer social habits as well. it's designed to ruin me.
and maybe you, as well.
